For Appointments to the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities:

Pursuant to the Welfare and Institutions Code section 4521(c), the Office of the Governor is asking for and considering recommendations for candidates to be appointed to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. A list of Council vacancies are on the Council Members page. The actual application is online on the Governor's website. For Appointments to the Area Boards on Developmental Disabilities:

The Office of the Governor is seeking applicants for the Developmental Disabilities Area Boards. The Governor is the appointing authority to five of the seats on each of the Area Boards on Developmental Disabilities. Pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Section 4546(f)(1), the Governor shall request recommendations from professional organizations, from organizations within the area representing persons with developmental disabilities, and from organizations and agencies within the area that deliver services to these individuals. Make recommendations of persons with developmental disabilities or parents, immediate relatives, guardians or conservators of a person with developmental disabilities.
